报告摘要:Resting State Functional Connectivity has been defined as temporal correlation between physically distant functional regions using functional MRI. Resting-state functional connectivity were based upon static descriptions of functional connectivity (FC). Recently, studies have begun to capitalize on the wealth of information contained within the temporal features of spontaneous BOLD FC. Emerging evidence suggests that dynamic FC metrics may index changes in macroscopic neural activity patterns underlying critical aspects of cognition and behavior. Functional Connectivity have been shown to be modulated by other brain regions even in resting-state. We aim to characterize modulatory interactions at the whole brain level by performing regions of interest (ROIs) based physiophysiological interaction (PPI) analysis on resting-state fMRI data. These results demonstrate whole brain characteristics of modulatory interactions, and may provide guidance for future explorations of connectivity dynamics in both resting-state and task-state.

报告人简介:Bharat B Biswal原为美国新泽西理工学院生物医学工程系教授,是国际顶级脑成像专家、汤森路透“全球高被引科学家家”、 “World's Most Influential Scientific Minds”入选者(2015),并在2017年入选中国“外专千人计划”,加入电子科技大学生命科学与技术学院。 Biswal是静息态脑功能磁共振成像的鼻祖,率先提出了静息态脑功能活动概念,建立了用功能磁共振(fMRI)研究大脑静息态的方法(resting state fMRI),原始论文已被引用4千余次(Biswal et al “Functional connectivity in the motor cortex of resting human brain using echo-planar MRI.” MRM 34 (4) 537-541. ),所开创的静息态脑成像研究方法现已在正常脑功能和脑疾病研究中得到广泛应用;最先将动态因果模型运用于resting state fMRI研究,开创的静息态脑成像技术已被广泛接受并应用于多种脑疾病诊断。
